EVE MEETS DANTE

In Eve Meets Dante, Greta Sykes embarks on a captivating journey through time, weaving together the lives and legacies of extraordinary women from antiquity to the Renaissance. Inspired by Virginia Woolf's poignant reflections on the historical silence of women, Sykes explores the powerful stories of many figures.
Through the lens of Eve and Dante Alighieri's spiritual quest, Sykes delves into the rich tapestry of female creativity and influence that has been overshadowed by patriarchal narratives. This novel not only uncovers the forgotten voices of women who shaped art, literature, and spirituality but also challenges the monotheistic and patriarchal structures that have sought to diminish their contributions.
Eve Meets Dante is a profound exploration of the intersections between mythology, history, and gender, offering readers a vivid and enlightening reimagining of women's roles throughout history and their impact on our present and future.
